Creating A Stickied Writing Tips Thread

Why?

It would get the forum to work together to create a list of tips for writers of all levels to help them improve their work. It would also provide a list of things for people to comment on when reading and C&Cing someone's work.

What do I have to do?

If you have a piece of advice or writing tip you'd like to share mention it here and when the thread is created it will be added.

**If you got the tip from a book or magazine and not through your own experience or from ...

Here is a new contest online, it is similar to NaNoWriMo, the only difference is that instead of writing a novel, your goal is to write a 100 page script. While I am posting this two days late, I figure I'll put it up anyways.

Here is the site: Clicketh

It started April 1, but it goes all month, so feel free to join (I have )

Extreme or Simple Characters?

Characters and their personalities are always a key part in the story you write. The way they react to a certain event chooses what will happen next (more or less).

Perspective?

Which perspective do you prefer to write from?

1st Person?

3rd Person?

Something different?

I usually write in both ~

1st person is good for when the story needs you to understand that characters thoughts but you can't/don't know any other character thoughts.

3rd person is good for when you need to know everyone's thoughts.

I find that 3rd person is easier for me to write in but I'm experimenting with 1st person too.
