Re: General Off-Topic Discussion
Let me explain why having a Jewish Grandmother in israel rules.
As of today, I am the proud owner of 700 grams(Not sure the ounces) of Turkish Delight. That costing about 3 dollars, 2 pounds, let's move on.
The other 3 Kg is assorted sweets amounting to about 8 or 9 dollars.
Then there are the confectionarys, about another 900g, the lot came to about $17.
And I paid nothing, bless her. She rules.
So, how is everyone else?

I don't like turkish delight. It taste weird.
When we first read 'The Chronicles Of Narnia', my mom made turkish delight and it tasted funny.

Yeah, sorta. I think it's a bit too sticky. But yeah, do you know how much they cost?
Jewish people, tsk, tsk. Too rich for their own good sometimes.
On a side-note, when is the Writing Contest results going to be up?

Hmmmm, I think it's a simple mis-understanding on AW's part. New topic? =D
This is officially the third day of my exams and my hand died yesterday after my English exam (English was the last exam I had that day and I had 3) - writing is so hard. Tomorrow I have another 3 exams. ;-;

Yes. You see, right, when I write I put pressure on my hand and it hurts but when I type I barely put any pressure on my hand so it doesn't hurt =D
That's fine =D
You mean dumb-butt? Right *hinthint* =P Before I wasn't paying much attention but now I'm sorta clamping down just so you all know. ^^ You're all very good though. =D
I just wrote 1007 words in 24 minutes @_@

Re: General Off-Topic Discussion
Of course we can still call her Rox. If we couldn't, oh boy I'd be in trouble. .__.
Anywho people, I have come to talk to you about what my doctor said! Not great news, but whatever, someone has to dampen the mood a bit, and then cheer it up again. And we all know ( or at least one or two of you know ) that I'm very good at doing that. =L
Let me recount to you the tale of my doctor's appointment. It happened one fine Wednesday afternoon, where the sun wasn't shining, it was partly hailing, partly snowing, and all my classmates were being idiots. ( Sounds great right? )
I got out of my least favorite subject half an hour early, and went with my mom to the doctor's office, where my appointment started ten minutes late, a bad sign. The doctor then asked me about two hundred questions, and then my mom asked if he had figured anything out.
"No, not yet. I have much to rule out." he said, with a thick Swiss accent. "I would examine Sarvani thoroughly, but I do not have much time today to stretch our appointment any longer."
Then, the phone rang. He answered the phone and for 30 minutes, 20 seconds, and 7 milliseconds ( I was bored so I timed him with my iPod ), he spent talking with some person. This made my mother furious, as he had just spent most of our appointment talking on the phone instead of paying attention to me, and this also happened right after he said that he couldn't spend much time with us.
After he hung up, he apologized and proceeded to examine me. The only thing he accomplised was shining a light into my eye and looking behind it, and he clarified that I do not have a brain tumor. Doesn't that make everyone feel warm and fuzzy inside?
And thus my story ends, without a happy ending for we have no idea what is wrong with me. Hopefully when I go to London over the weekend I won't have to worry about any of this, or the impending doom that is stalking me ( I have to visit the same doctor again to get a shot and learn more about my illness. And let's hope that this doctor doesn't do my shot wrong, but that story I shall save for another time. If you're that interested, ask Kasumi Light. =L ).
Ah, that was fun writing that. Good story, amirite?
Rox, what were you writing? I've written 1,000 words in fifteen minutes before, which freaked me out a bit, because that's like alien-ish. @___@
I don't wanna be an alien. ;-;

1000 words in 15 minutes is not alien-ish. if it were, I(and most other people here) belong in Area 51(Which is just a cover-up. It's really Area 54)

OMG YOU'RE GOING TO LONDON SARVANI?! [Well, you're one step ahead of me and I LIVE in the damn country.]
And don't worry about the shot. I had one today. =3 [The nurse jammed it into my arm after teling me to look away. XD]
But isn't it a good thing you don't have a brain tumor? [And what is wrong with aliens, may I ask?]

Re: General Off-Topic Discussion
I never found shots too bad to be honest. That was until I had my TB jab and my arm was dead for ages. But while everyone else at my school is like "OMFG WE HAVE SHOTS TODAY NOOOOOOO!" I'm just completely oblivious. They get very meladramatic over the whole thing. This one girl pretended she was feeling sick and that the carpet in the Library was blue. I laughed so hard when I heard about it. It was the most ridiculous incoherent poop I'd ever heard. I'd totally understand if they complained about their arms hurting but no "the Library carpet is blue". >_> Well, I hope you get better soon Sa-chan and I hope it's nothing to serious. I hope your arms don't hurt for too long Kasumi-chan and Amy ^^
Well since I found this site that times me and gives me pop-ups when I stop writing for a certain amount of time I've been in a real writing mood. As you'll notice my posts are nice and long =D Ask Sa-chan - I'm always complaining my posts aren't long enough and now I have this site to urge me to write up to my word count target and within in a certain time (because it urges me to write a certain amount within a certain time I'm getting practise at typing faster =D). So, yeah, I'm very, very chuffed. =D
On another note, does anyone here feel like bashing their head against a wall when they're in school but as soon as the last bell goes you feel like the urge to hit your head has gone away? I get it all the time. During school hours, school and the people in it drive me absaloutley bezurk. ;-;
Geography, Biology, and Math tomorrow - OMG Gonna fail guys and then I'll fail again in the Summer and become a hobo! That sounds like a good idea right now but then I'd never get to be an engineer ;-; Anyone want to join me on my quest to become a hobo so I'm not lonely. On second thoughts, does anyone mind if I be a hobo and stay at there house because the thought of sleeping on cold concrete doesn't appeal to me much.
What is everyone's favourite subject at school? I fancy finding out because I seem to be the only one at my school who finds Physics interesting and actually like it. I'm also the only one in my class who likes Math.
(Yay for the lengthy post everyone is going to ignore because it's a load of nutty stuff =P)

Re: General Off-Topic Discussion
I don't have finals yet, although I am planning on failing my Physics final XD. Tomorrow I have a practice ACT, which is the stupidest thing I've ever heard of. Mostly because if you get a good score you'll be mad that it doesn't count and if you get a bad score you'll be mad that you got a bad score . Really a lose lose situation but not for me because if I get higher than a 32 than I can gloat to my brother, which is always fun. We like to see who's smarter and after the ACT we'll know for sure .
Sarvani! I'm sorry they don't know what's wrong with you, although if this was TV land and you lived in Seattle and had a brain tumor than McDreamy could operate on you, which would be stellar because he's gorgeous [/random].
Yeah, I have to incorporate Grey's Anatomy into everything, it just makes life more interesting. Especially if your life can be compared to a TV show, which at the moment my life is starting to feel like a TV show because of all the strange twists that happen and all the drama .
Anywho, I also want to write long posts, but that's mostly because I talk a lot and I haven't been talking a lot lately because of my issues with friends...
I have a problem with shots, they hurt for me because I tense up the muscles in my arm and it makes me sore. Plus I have had a dozen or so cavities and two root canals so novacaine is not my friend. Yes, I brush my teeth but I had about a dozen ear infections while my teeth were growing so it kinda destroyed the enamel on my teeth and made my teeth weak and prone to cavities . I have issues....
Sorry if I'm a downer but epiphanies aren't always a good thing

Re: General Off-Topic Discussion
Wow, it's like, 4th of December is dampening day. Even when you say "NO TESTS!" there's still work.
Roxanne, do not, do not become a hobo...without me . No but seriously, blue? What colour was it actually? And Math, Bio, Geo? it's not immensely difficult, you know. Just concentrate and tell us the rsults, K?
Sarvani, Kasumi, all you people that seriously hate shots. Get over it, or drink some strong alcohol first. Both work you know. I had to get one to test for appendicitis. didn't sting a bit.
Christina, what the hell? Do your teeth hate you or something? And what did the ear infections do?
And as for me, I'm finally going to find out whether or not i passed the 8th grade.
Oh, and the results are up for the Writing contest as far as I can tell, since Christina posted, right? Who won?

It's actually sort of a maroon color. I think. I don't go there often anymore I can't remember @_@ I only go there when they have new books in.
Well, Roxanne posted the results and she wants to know whether or not you want to to vote so there is only one member in second place or not - Let her know before she goes to bed.
Well I know what I got for Chemistry and Spanish but I won't know about anything else for a while because the teachers and lazy. D: In Chemistry I got 81% which is supposed to be an A/A* and in Spanish I got a C for listening and a B for talking (I think =/) Geography should be okay, Biology will fail (it's my worst science subject - "and you're getting a B woman" Okay okay >_>) Math will be easy =D I will let you all know what I get as I get the scores back.
In a freezing exam hall all day doing mock exams! ;-;
There's always something bad to say and something good to say. I barely brush my teeth and apart from the occasional wonky one my teeth are in pretty good shape =) Hope things get better for you Christina.
Awesome Subaru =D
