I know like one jewish person in rl, but the majority is methodist and Catholic.
I, on the other hand, was born 100 percent Catholic. But now, I'm not to sure about my faith.
Quad-fu sounds like a cartoon show, similiar to that of Skunk-fu.

Don't believe everything you see on Youtube Kasumi_Light XD
After all, there are talking cats on Youtube as well as videos of ninja cats, and other random stuff that could be made up.
Not trying to flame your beliefs, but I'm just saying.
You should look up a thorough definition of Quad-Fu that isn't on Youtube or Wikipedia.

Anyway, youtube is still an amazing place. Anyone looking for a good laugh, should look up nigahiga videos.

Re: General Off-Topic Discussion
Hey guys! I just want to apologize for my little spurt of inactivity whilst my life got a bit hectic and stressful. I'm back now though and for a while I should be fairly active.
Talking about religions my parents (my mom and step-dad) are both Christian. However, I am Wiccan. Hopefully most of you will have a basic idea of what it is - if not I'll explain later =D
Youtube definitely is great if you're looking for a laugh or you want to listen to songs that you don't own (I do do that far too often - I really need to get the albums). Dane Cook is a good one to look up on youtube. I've managed to get quite a few people hooked recently - he is very funny though.
I know a fair few people from different religions. Most of which are Christian or Jewish.
The problem with Calenders - especially where I live (the UK) - they only list certain holidays. I have never come across a calender with Wiccan or Jewish Holidays on it. I have to go to a special shop in town and they look up the dates and print them onto the calender for me. (:

Re: General Off-Topic Discussion
Wiccan is a religion in which people rely on magic/witchcraft/sorcery to overcome everyday obstacles. The witchcraft is said to come from the devil so they're basically Satanists.

Congratulations! You have managed to successfully misdefine/misinterpret the meaning of Wicca. By the way, you should probably leave the explanation of the religion up to those who actually know the gist of it. Roxanne, sorry if I misdefine some of these, I've only read a few books on the subject, certainly not enough to declare myself an expert.
1. Wicca has nothing to do with supernatural powers, everything in the religion revolves around nature.
2. Wiccans are not satanists, they are the same as any other religion. The basic belief system revolves around a God and a Goddess. People who study this religion believe that the idea of having a male and female counterpart balances the idea, since the two balance each other.
3. I would, and I am sure the rest of the admins would, appreciate it if you stopped making fun of people and or flaming a religion. Religion is a very serious discussion and you could really upset someone by calling them a satanist. Roxanne is very kind and you did a great diservice by calling her a satanist. Everyone has their own beliefs and you going around badmouthing them is wrong. Now, I could go on and on about how religion is not a subject to be taken lightly (After all, there are zero-tolerance policies in the religion discussions on neo), but I won't, so please understand where I am coming from.
Anyways, my parents are both Catholics, but I am unsure of my religion. I have studied and read about Wicca and believe in what they believe in but I cannot say that I openly practice the religion. Right now, I guess you could say I am agnostic.

We're studying the early Christianity, with the Roman empire and stuff, in Social Studies. We were studying gods and goddesses in Language Arts (part of Greek mythology). This is really the first time I'm actually studying Christianity, despite the fact that I am a Christian and I believe in God and stuff. ^-^

Hmm...
I am staying home for Christmas and going to my cousins for the New Year. But right now I just finished my science exam! Yay me! =P
If I'm not right, please forgive me, but Wiccan is mainly based off of appreciating the natural world and embracing life itself. At least, I think that it boils down to that.

Re: General Off-Topic Discussion
I will, as a member, ignore the comment made regarding my religion and press on to explain what it really is. However, as an admin, I will deal with the post and the member as neccesary.
That's from a very reliable site I use from my studies and such. I tried explaining in my own words but it didn't work too well and seemed a little confusing.
What's important, mainly to answer Pyro as to why two sites contradicted each other - Ask 10 wiccans a question and you'll get 10 different answers because not one Wiccan will do everything the same as another unless they are in a coven and even then you may find some differences in the way they do things - craft and magic wise.
Wiccans go on the basis of: "An ye harm none, do what ye will" which basically means you can do what you want as long as it doesn't hurt anyone.
The spells and "magic" Wiccans use are to help in things such as healing and studying. (i.e. you can't do a spell to help you pass exams and expect to pass without doing any revision just because you have done that spell. hence the magic word help.)
It gets a little more complicated and I don't really have the time to go any deeper hopefully that clears quite a lot up though. ^-^ If you have any more questions I'll be happy to answer them =D
I'm going away for Christmas and so you will all see another drop in my activity. ;-;
Wicca is a Neo-Pagan religion with many traditions that date to pre-Christian (and prehistoric) Earth religions. It's roots are founded in a deep respect for nature and the knowledge that we do not have the right to exploit it for our own gain. You will find conservation and ecology, very dear to the heart of Wiccans. Wiccans believe, as in all Neo-Pagan religions, that both animate and inanimate objects possess a spirit which forms part of the Whole. Wiccans celebrate the life-forces of nature as personified by the Goddess and her consort, the God. Wiccans are historically very independent people who seek truth from within through rituals, meditation, magic, studying and communing with nature. Wiccans respect the right of everyone to worship in their own way. Believing that everyone must find their own path.

I will tell you as being Wiccan myself and having many Wiccan friends:
WICCANS DO NOT WORSHIP SATAN OR HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH SATAN
Wicca is not synonymous with Satan worship. The very concept of a supreme evil spirit is alien to Wicca. In fact, most Wiccans do not even believe in Satan. The devil is a Judeo-Christian construct and as such, it has nothing to do with Wicca. The notion that witches worship Satan was propounded by the Roman Catholic Church as it made its way across Europe, in an effort to suppress the native earth-based religions prevalent at the time. They succeeded to the extent that they drove the practitioners of these religions underground where much of their knowledge and traditions were lost. Through the work of the Golden Dawn, as well as anthropological and archeological research, many of these traditions have been rediscovered and incorporated into Neo-Paganism, an umbrella term for most modern earth-based and shamanistic religions.
